Year 2019

SCLAA Logistics Visit to China

From July 29th to August 7th, 2019, Amanda O'Brien, President of SCLAA, the largest logistics association in Australia, Vice President Sue Tomic and Don Nardella, former Speaker of the Victorian Parliament of Australia, joined the delegation to important port cities in China, such as Guangzhou, to work with China's logistics transportation and cross-border e-commerce industries. The leaders held friendly meetings to discuss the framework of Australasia-China logistics cooperation. A count of 10 industry-related companies signed the Australasia-China "One Belt and One Road" iniatiative which compiles the logistics alliance governmental cooperation framework agreement along the way, which strengthened the cooperation and exchanges between Australasia-China logistics and provided a good opportunity for both sides to explore foreign markets deeper.

Australian Trade Visit from Yangquan representatives, China 

The representatives of Yangquan provincial city went on a trade visit to Australia. On June 28th, the Queensland-Yangquan parliamentary economic and trade forum was held successfully. Queensland City Government Secretary-General Rob and the Member of Parliament from the Ministry of Agriculture/Fisheries/Regional Development from Queensland, along with the Deputy Minister of Queensland government for this sector was present at the event. In addition. the vice-president of SMEs (Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of Queensland, President of the Brisbane Chamber of Commerce, President of Moreton Bay Chamber of Commerce, representative of Logan Municipal Government, etc welcomed the trade delegation from Yangquan City, China. The visit centered at being able to strengthen cooperation with all sectors of Australia under the framework of "One Belt and One Road" and promote further cooperation and ties between Yangquan and Australia.

Visit to Australia

In 2018, Wang Weiwei, Director of Electronic Foundation, Electronic Information Department, Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of China, visited Australia and successfully held the Australia-China Photovoltaic Industry Forum in the Victorian Parliament.

Visit to China

Australian Trade Visit With the invitation by the China Logistics and Purchasing Federation, the former Secretary-General of the Government of Victoria and Chairman of Australian-China Parliamentary Friendship Association of Victoria Parliament, David Koch, and Stanley who represents the Australian Logistic and Supply Chain Association (SCLAA) visited China to attend the "2018 Global Logistics Technology Conference" and also made trade and business-friendly visits to Hainan and Guizhou provinces. 


Year 2017

Visit to China

Bob Baldwin, former Deputy Minister of Industry, former Minister of Tourism, Ken Smith, former Speaker of the House of Commons of Victoria, Daryl Guppy, President of the Northern Territory of the Australian Industrial and Commercial Commission, Desley O'Grady, Member of Gladstone City, Kunzhou, and Belinda, Manager of the Royal Agricultural Association of Xinzhou, were invited by the National Tourism Administration of China. As well as a large delegation of Australian enterprises to visit China to attend the "1000 Australian visitors to Shaanxi and the Tang Dynasty into the City ceremony grand ceremony", they also participated in the 14th Guangxi ASEAN Expo. Governor Hu Ping of Shaanxi Province received a delegation from the Australia International Trade Association to China.

In 2017, a delegation headed by Vice Mayor Wang Xuefeng of Jilin City visited Australia and New Zealand. The leaders of Jilin Foreign Affairs Office, Jilin Business Bureau, Jilin Tourism Committee and Jilin Economic and Social Development Bureau accompanied the delegation and participated in the "China-Australia (South Pacific) Urban Cooperation Summit-Business Forum and Melbourne Royal Expo Year of China". Jilin famous and special enterprises participatde in the Royal Melbourne Exposition in the 'Year of China', and then the "China Jilin - Australia Economic, Trade and Tourism Cooperation Promotion Conference" was successfully held in the Victorian Parliament Building.

Year 2016

Visit to China

Bob Baldwin, a member of the Australian Federal Parliament (formerly Deputy Minister of Industry and former Deputy Minister of Environmental Protection of the Australian Federation), and Mark, CEO of the Royal Victorian Agricultural Association, participated in the Chengdu "China Travel-New Year's Shopping Festival-International Food and Family Fashion Delivery" under the auspices of the Australian Cham "Yi Hui" made friendly visits to Beijing, Shandong, Hunan, Sichuan and Hainan, and had friendly meetings and talks with the National Development and Reform Commission, provincial federations of enterprises and senior representatives of the Trade Promotion Association.

In 2016, Wu Zhongze, President of China Intelligent Transport Association, visited Australia and successfully held "China-Australia Intelligent Round Table", Queensland-China Intelligent Transport
Dialogue and Victoria-China Intelligent Transport Dialogue.

Year 2015

Visit to China

In 2015, James Wilkinson, Speaker of the Lords of Tasmania, Australia, and Gregory, Vice-Speaker of the Lords of Tasmania, David, Mayor of Northern Midlands of Tasmania, Australia, Mark, CEO of the Royal Agricultural Association and Steven, Executive Chairman of the Australian Labour Party Region, were visited by the Guizhou Provincial Government. Invited to attend the "Guiyang International Forum on Ecological Civilization 2015 Conference", visited Beijing, Shanghai, Yunnan and Hunan, and promoted friendly international exchanges and cooperation between China and Australia.

In 2015, at the cordial invitation of Richard, Mayor of Northern Midland, Tasmania, Australia, a delegation of Liupanshui Municipal Government headed by Yang Changpeng, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Liupanshui Municipal Committee, visited Australia and New Zealand to attend the 2015 China-Australia S Committee Outh-Pacific City Cooperation Summit-Melbourne Royal Agricultural Exposition. 
 

Year 2014

Visit to China

David Koch, then Secretary-General of the House of Lords of the Victorian Parliament of Australia, visited China. Zhang Qiang, Director of the Chinese People's Association for Foreign Friendship, Nie Changbin, Deputy Secretary-General of the Hubei Provincial Party Committee, Sun Yanbin, Vice President of the Council for the Promotion of Trade, Tan Zuogang, Vice Director of the Department of Commerce, and Zhao Xiaoyong, President of the Federation of Commerce and Industry, met with the delegation respectively.

Visit to Australia

In 2014, the China Rubber Industry Association visited Australia. Former Speaker Ken Smith of Virginia, Secretary-General of the Australian Plastic and Rubber Association Tony Hamilton and others received the delegation at the Melbourne Parliament Building.

Year 2001-2013

Visit to China

In 2003, the Australia International Trade Association successfully organized a fund-raising campaign for China's UNICEF in Beijing. The participants were from 25 countries, including Mr. Chai Zemin, China's first ambassador to the United States, Julie Bishop, the current Foreign Minister, David Irvine, the former Australian ambassador to China, as well as educational, commercial, agricultural, immigration counsellors and diplomats of United Nations embassies in China, 54 provinces and municipalities in China. Mo Wenxiu, vice president of the China Children's and Youth Foundation and Secretary of the Secretariat of the All-China Women's Federation, also participated in the event.

In 2001, the Australia International Trade Association successfully held the event of "100 Mayors of China and Australia Supporting Beijing's Bidding for the Olympic Games". Liu Qi, Mayor of Beijing, Timur Dawamaiti, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and Tao Siliang, Vice Chairman of the Mayors'Association of China, attended the event and expressed their high support for Beijing's bid for the Olympic Games.

Visit to Australia

In 2013, a delegation headed by Ma Rongcai, deputy director of Beijing Agricultural Bureau, visited Australia and New Zealand. Bruce Atkinson, Speaker of the Victorian House of Lords, and Neale, Chairman of the District Development Committee of Parliamentarians, met with the delegation and held friendly talks on Australia's agricultural and animal husbandry development level and related production experience and methods.      

In 2011, under the leadership of Deputy Director Pan, the delegation of the Forestry Department of Anhui Province visited Australia and New Zealand on urban forestry construction, development of forestry industry and experience of sustainable forest management in Australia.

In 2006, the delegation of Beijing Development and Reform Commission went to Australia to attend the First Australasia-China on Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, and met with the Ministry of Industry and members of Parliament of the Federal Government of Australia. At the same time, high-level exchanges were held around Australia-China cooperation projects.

In 2007, a delegation from the Ministry of Justice of China undertook a judicial visit to Australia and New Zealand. They visited the Federal Court of Australia, the Victorian Department of Justice, the High Court and so on. They also learned about the Australian judicial system and the establishment of the judiciary, as well as the trial and case disclosure.
